RESUMEN:El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar el abordaje husserliano de la atención (Aufmerksamkeit) en su fundamental relación con las temáticas de la intencionalidad (Intentionalität) y el “mentar” (Meinen). La definición de la atención como “mentar” constituye uno de los momentos más característicos de la descripción de Husserl de dicho fenómeno, y tiene una importancia especial en virtud de que distingue su análisis de los abordajes psicológicos. Por este motivo, el primer paso será la exposición de los conceptos fundamentales de la psicología de finales del siglo XIX que contribuyeron a configurar la posición de Husserl. Luego, examinaremos la caracterización husserliana de la atención hasta las Investigaciones Lógicas, y evaluaremos el aporte del posterior desarrollo de la teoría de la intencionalidad a la interpretación de la atención. Finalmente, reflexionaremos sobre el vínculo entre el análisis de la intención y la descripción de las orientaciones de la atención, subrayando la función específica del mentar en relación con la horizonticidad de la experiencia.

ABSTRACT: The present work aims at analyzing Edmund Husserl´s account of attention (Aufmerksamkeit) considering its fundamental relation with the topics of intentionality (Intentionalität) and “cogitative meaning” (Meinen). Husserl´s definition of attention as cogitative meaning is one of the most characteristic moments of his description of this phenomenon, and it has a key importance insofar as it differentiates his analysis from psychological approaches. For this reason, the first step will be the exposition of the main concepts of the psychology of the late nineteenth century that contributed to shape Husserl´s own position. Then, we shall examine Husserl view on attention until the Logical Investigations and evaluate the contribution of the later development of the theory of intentionality to the interpretation of attention. Finally, we will reflect on the connection between the analysis of intention and the description of the orientations of attention, underlying the specific function of cogitative meaning regarding the horizonedness of experience.
