Rozitchner, Foucault and the Problem of the Repressive Hypothesis

Resumen:
El presente artículo intenta desarrollar un problema detectado al interior de la obra de León Rozitchner, consistente en la incapacidad de la teoría rozitchneriana para sortear las dificultades que representa la crítica a la “hipótesis represiva” desarrollada por Michel Foucault en el primer tomo de Historia de la sexualidad (1976). Nuestra intención, en un primer momento, será demostrar las severas dificultades que representa para Rozitchner la teorización foucaultiana en el período freudomarxista del autor argentino; luego, intentaremos expandir este análisis por fuera del período mencionado para observar en qué medida una comprensión de mayor amplitud dentro de su filosofía permitiría sortear parcialmente las dificultades que se le presentan a Rozitchner en su conceptualización acerca de la compleja interacción entre el campo social, la regulación del deseo y la genealogía del ámbito subjetivo.

Abstract:
This paper intends to work on a problem identified within León Rozitchner’s work, which consists of the incapacity of Rozitchnerian theory to face the difficulties posed by the criticism to the “repressive hypothesis” developed by Michel Foucault in the first volume of The History of Sexuality (1976). It is our intention, firstly, to prove the many difficulties that Foucauldian theorization poses for Rozitchner during his Freudo-Marxist period. Secondly, it is our objective to expand this analysis beyond the aforementioned period so as to determine to what extent a wider understanding within his perspective would enable us to partly sort out the difficulties that Rozitchner should face when conceptualizing on the complex interactions of the social field, the regulation of desire and the genealogy of the subjective field.
