  2. Title in Spanish (or Portuguese) and English (centered, Times New Roman font size 14, boldface).
  3. Abstract in Spanish (or Portuguese) and English (200 words each).

  6. Bibliography.

NOTE: if the author's own works are mentioned, replace the reference, both in the text and in the bibliography, by the legend "AUTHOR".

General guidelines:

- Footnotes, Times New Roman font size 10, justified text.

- Do not use bold or underline in the text.

- Avoid double spacing between words and at the end of each paragraph.

Quotations and footnotes

- All quotations should be translated into Spanish (or Portuguese). If it is considered necessary to include the original language version, do it in a footnote.

- Quotations in the body of the text that exceed four lines in length should be inserted in a separate paragraph, centered with left and right margins of 1 cm, size 11, without indentation, single spacing, without quotation marks.

- The numerical index of footnotes should always follow the punctuation mark (after the period or the question/exclamation mark, if the footnote is at the end of the sentence, or after the comma, semicolon, etc. if the footnote is within the sentence).

Example: This is stated by Deleuze in his work on Spinoza.1

- Use square brackets with three dots [...] to indicate that the quotation continues or that a sentence was left out.

- Use common quotation marks: “...”. Within the common quotation marks, use the French quotation marks: "...«»..."

Words in foreign languages

- All words belonging to another language must be in italics.

- If you wish to clarify a term in its original language, do so in parentheses ().

References to the bibliography

- Include in footnotes the complete references of the bibliography.

- The first time a work is cited: mention the complete data (for the format of the citation according to the type of text cited, see below, "How to cite").

- If reference is made again to the same work: mention only the author and the abbreviation op. cit. (in italics) followed by the page number to which reference is made.

Example:

First time a work is cited:

Deleuze, Gilles, Difference and Repetition, trans. M. S. Delpy and H. Beccacece, Columbia, Columbia University Press, 1994, p. 42.

If reference is made again to the same work throughout the article:

Deleuze, Gilles, op. cit., p. 56.

- If more than one work by the same author is used: cite the works with their complete data the first time reference is made to them and then, if reference is made to them again, indicate the title or the initial words of the title of each one, then op. cit. (in italics) and the page number to which reference is made.

Example:

First time a work appears:

Deleuze, Gilles, Difference and Repetition, trans. M. S. Delpy and H. Beccacece, Columbia, Columbia University Press, 1994, p. 42.

Deleuze, Gilles, Spinoza et le problème de l'expression, Paris, Minuit, 2013.

If these works are referred to again:

Deleuze, Gilles, Difference and Repetition, op. cit., p. 8.

Deleuze, Gilles, Spinoza et le problème de l'expression, op. cit., p. 56.

- If reference is made to the same work referred to in the immediately preceding footnote: use the abbreviation Ibíd. (in italics) followed by the page number (example: Ibíd., p. 3).

- If reference is made to the same work and page referred to in the immediately preceding footnote: use the abbreviation Ibídem (in italics).

- If special letters, acronyms or abbreviations are used to refer to a particular work or edition, indicate this as clearly as possible in a footnote the first time reference is made to that work.

- If there is no reference to a textual citation, but rather an indirect citation, use the abbreviation Cf. (in italics) followed by the bibliographical reference and page number.

- Include a "Bibliography" section at the end of the text. Indicate all the data of the texts cited or referred to in the footnotes and, if applicable, other bibliography consulted but not cited. If more than one work by the same author is mentioned, do not repeat the name, but replace it with three hyphens (---).
