The teaching of philosophy at school: political education by other means
Aportes desde una lectura política arendtiana del Juicio estético kantiano

The purpose of this paper is to present some reflections on the teaching of philosophy at school from a perspective that strengthens its political dimension. To investigate this direction, we are interested in transpolar Arendt revival of public concept to the educational field and its appeal to the dialogical, intersubjective and shared learning dimension, present in her political reading of Kantian aesthetic judgment. The leitmotif of Arendt’s interpretation is the reflexive judgment, from which she seeks to demonstrate the structural correspondence between aesthetic expression and political use, understood as practical discernment. From this, a perspective of the teaching of philosophy that seeks to contribute to political education at school is offered.
